DESCRIPTION:The MWE invites you to travel back in time to the late 19th and
  early 20th centuries to visit the cabarets and speakeasies of Belle Epoqu
 e and Art Nouveau Paris\, post-war Berlin and Prohibition-Era New York Cit
 y. “Bienvenue aü Chat Noir” will take listeners to parlors frequented by
  important artists\, literary figures and\, of course\, composers. The pro
 gram will feature a set of cabaret songs by Alec Wilder\, William Bolcom\,
  and Kurt Weill\, with Meadows faculty member Melissa Murray as soloist. A
 dditional repertoire includes Joshua Hobb’s  Blind   Tiger  and Kurt Weill
 ’s Suite from his masterpiece The Threepenny Opera . The evening will conc
