Richardson Symphony Orchestra Partners with Local Church for Christmas Concert

Make plans to attend Joy to the World, the annual Christmas Concert at First United Methodist Church Richardson. This concert is one of the highlights of the season with familiar songs of Christmas, as well as new favorites. The concert will feature The Chancel Choir and The Journey Youth Choir with special musical guest, the Richardson Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Clay Couturiaux. Mr. Couturiaux is the Music Director and Conductor of the Richardson Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Monroe Symphony Orchestra, and serves as the Assistant Director of Orchestral Studies at the University of North Texas.

Each year, Michael Lightfoot, Director of Music Ministries at FUMCR, searches for special guests that will provide great entertainment and a high level of musical expertise to this annual concert. Previous guests have included One O’Clock Lab Band, Dallas Brass, and Sandi Patty. He is so pleased to welcome back the RSO this year.

The concert will be held this Friday, December 15th in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church Richardson located at 503 N. Central Expressway (southbound service road between Arapaho and Beltline).

Concert begins at 7:30pm. Tickets are available for $15 or $20 and can be purchased online at fumcr.com/rso or at the door.
