[For Immediate Release]

Jeng Chi has been delivering flavorful, authentic Taiwanese cuisine to Richardson’s Chinatown for over 25 years. We may win awards for our chef-made cuisine, but our restaurant keeps growing to provide the optimal dining experience for our guests. Coming soon in mid-March, we’ll be serving cocktails and kombucha from our new bar. Our meals-to-go menu is getting even easier for our guests to grab something tasty on the go.  Jeng Chi is growing.

Our noodles are still cut by hand. We’ll continue to offer traditional soup dumplings (xiao long bao), wok sautéed delicacies, a thoughtfully curated tea selection, and our signature espresso bar and in-house bakery with its decadent dessert bar. Don’t worry, we’ll still be open during the renovations.

We’ll celebrate our new look and expanded offerings in mid- March. Thanks to everyone who came to observe Chinese Lunar New Year 2017 with us to enjoy the vibrant and exciting lion dancers at Jeng Chi. Every year we bring this experience to our community, sharing wonderful Chinese cultural celebrations found overseas and inviting them alongside your local dining experience.

You’ve probably enjoyed our desserts and meals-to-go. We’re pretty excited about a new design that incorporates a dedicated dessert bar presenting a rotating menu of hand-crafted indulgences, and a meals to-go counter for our diners seeking ready-to-eat menu items with a fast and easy check out.

Jeng Chi will soon be the first restaurant inside the China Town strip with a full bar. We’ll feature craft cocktails with an emphasis of tea infusions, an expanded fine tea selection from Culture Cup, and kombucha on tap in collaboration with Buddah’s Brew featuring flavors like raspberry and basil honey ginger. Guests will enjoy an intimate dining room experience with more booths within the inviting decor and ambiance people have come to expect at Jeng Chi.

The term “Jeng Chi” translates to “people of gathering” or “house of happiness.” Our family-owned and operated restaurant has gathered an amazing team of chefs from Northern China who create authentic Taiwanese recipes for our diners. This lets us satisfy our customers’ desire for authenticity, peaks the curiosity of guests craving the best of Asian cuisine, and lets us share a moment of happiness. The family brings hands-on experience to curate every recipe from traditional sources.  Your taste buds will love food infused with culture, tradition, and a sense of home; a dining experience to be remembered and cherished.
