While students in Richardson Independent School District have only been back to school for ten weeks, the student's of J.J. Pearce's elite ensemble, FORTE, have put together an amazing show, filled with a wide range of popular music, choreography, and professional lighting. 

Forte is a vocal ensemble from J.J. Pearce High School that specialize in a variety of musical styles including pop, rock, country, jazz, and musical theater.  Made up of singers from the Pearce Choral Department, the members are selected by audition each Spring.  

Forte was started in 1981 by Woody Christman, Pearce High School choral director from 1978 to 2005.  

Forte, today, is an ensemble of twenty-four students directed by J.J. Pearce Head Choir Director, Michael Lysinger, and Assistant Choir Director, Laura Taylor.

Members of the 2017 FORTE group are: Isabella Chacon, Patrick Fernandez, Julie Francis, Arianna Hadjebian, Logan Hunt, Nathan Jackson, Josh Kane, Lauren King, Abby Lysinger, Dillon Marstella, Zoe Martinez, Abbey Masters, Josh Miller, Buck Newberry, Case Newberry, Sophia Patterson, Clayton Price, Ellie Repp, Mason Repp, Elle Roth, Christina Tsatsoulas, Walker Ucherek, Erin Williams, and Jaxon Williams.

"Crazy Little Thing Called Love" opened Thursday night, November 2nd, at the Edith V. Pearce auditorium at J.J. Pearce High School.  Featuring music from the shows, "Hairspray, " "La La Land," and "The Pink Panther, " and covering a wide range of artists including Beyonce, Frank Sinatra, B-52's, Adele, and Michael Jackson to name a few, the revue entertains with show surprises along the way.

The final performance of "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" is this Saturday, November 4th, at 7:30pm.  Tickets can be purchased online through pearcechoir.com, or can be purchased beginning at 6:30pm at the auditorium's box office.
