Tal Morrison (1922-2015), founder of the Dallas Running Club, is a legend in the Metroplex running community. Founder of the Dallas Running Club and organizer of the first White Rock Marathon, his life and work remain an inspiration to countless athletes. This race gives runners past and present the opportunity to pass it on!
Check out the Dallas Running Club website to find out how you can participate in this great event, as an athlete or donor! The race commences at 8:00am at Winfrey Point, White Rock Lake. It’s a 5K and a 15K, and provides a great opportunity for athletes to PR and for friends and family to cheer on our Metroplex athletes!
Afterward, runners will find a variety of refreshments including bananas from ORCHARD At The OFFICE. Then the big highlight: the Tal Morrison Scholarship Fund, Inc. (TMSF) will present college scholarships to deserving high school athletes in Dallas. Funding comes from the Dallas Running Club.
In the past two years alone, DRC was able to donate over $30,000 to TMSF for a dozen very deserving high school seniors.
