Outreach Health Services, a locally based home health agency, spent Wednesday afternoon packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.

Operation Christmas Child's mission is to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ by presenting these children with Christmas gifts in a shoebox.

This year, the Richardson office continued in their annual tradition of packing shoeboxes. These boxes go to children in severe poverty and war in 110 different countries. A guest speaker from Samaritan's Purse came to the annual packing party. The guest speaker was able to tell Outreach exactly what countries the Dallas boxes went to last year, she also had some amazing stories of God's provision for these children.

Outreach has been saving and collecting donations all year, so, they were thrilled to be able to pack 189 boxes this year, the highest over the years Outreach has been participating! Christina Dunlap, Benefits Administrator, and organizer of the event said, "We are thrilled by the number of boxes that we were able to pack! It was a record for our office and a wonderful way to spend our lunch hour!"

Outreach has been packing shoeboxes for the last 7 years for Operation Christmas Child, in the words of Brian Partin, CEO, "We love this organization and what it brings to those in need. We have participated for many years in Operation Christmas Child and are so grateful for their work. Because of them many children around the world will receive Christmas and the Good News of Jesus!"
