Storytelling is central to human existence. Discover more about the value of this ancient tradition on February 12 at the next AIR Time, presented by AIR (Arts Incubator of Richardson), where storyteller, oral historian, writer, and educator, Decee Cornish, will share about his gift of sharing stories and performing, and how effective storytelling can be as a classroom strategy as well as sheer entertainment. We know you’ll leave with a story to share!

This evening’s movie selection is BIG FISH (2003, PG-13, 2h 5m), directed by Tim Burton, and starring Ewan McGregor, Albert Finney and Billy Crudup. In this fantastical tale, a son (Crudup) tries to reconnect with his dying father (Finney), trying to determine the truth from the fiction in the charismatic tall tales he shares. As the movie unfurls, the storytelling bond strengthens.

7:00p – interview; 7:45p - movie

Tickets are $5, but include a $5 food/beverage voucher. Reserve your seat in advance through the Alamo Richardson ticket site or purchase the evening of the event.

This project is funded in part by the City of Richardson through the City of Richardson Cultural Arts Commission, Texas Commission on the Arts, the Ann & Charles Eisemann Arts Innovation Initiative, and underwritten by Erik L. and Deanna Wyse of WealthStar Advisors.
