Aw/Big Shucks (4 locations: Lower Greenville, Lewisville, Mockingbird and Richardson) are proud to announce that the Dallas Junior Wheelchair Mavericks (DJWM) will benefit from the restaurants’ Charity Chalkboard special series, which is designed to donate a dollar from each order to a local non-profit organization.  

The partnership is very important to Aw/Big Shucks because of Dallas Junior Wheelchair Mavericks’ overall mission, which is to offer and facilitate a competitive and recreational atmosphere for children with physical disabilities. The benefits to the program include social interaction, physical fitness and increased self-confidence.  

DJWM have skilled coaches who volunteer their time and expertise of which enables the children, ages 5-18, to excel within an athletic forum and, as such, experience the exuberance of youth.

The charity special, featured daily throughout the year on each restaurants’ chalkboards, that will start the program is Shrimp Creole $11.99 (the special will change, typically, quarterly).
