The City of Richardson proudly celebrated the opening of the new Fire Station 4 with a dedication ceremony and open house on Thursday, July 12. The new station replaces the old Fire Station 4, which was built back in 1973, and is located at 1500 Apollo Road.

The station was funded by the 2010 Bond Program and specifically included features to meet regulatory requirements that were not able to be accommodated at the original Fire Station 4. The new station is quite a bit larger than the old station, mostly so it can fit the operational staffing needs and house larger fire vehicles.
