Are you new to the community?  If so, join the Newcomer Friends of Greater Plano group on Tuesday, Aug. 14 at 9:30 a.m. for a program meeting at Collin College- Courtyard Center.  

With over 250 members in the group, residents that are new to Plano or its surrounding communities—including Frisco, Dallas, Allen, Richardson and The Colony—will have the opportunity to meet new people and make make friends in a supportive environment as they learn more about local activities and happenings.

At 10 a.m., the program will feature Officer Mark Dawson of the Plano Police Department, presenting "Don't Ler Your Identity Be Stolen!"  Officer Dawson will provide useful tips and information on how to protect yourself from becoming a victim of identity theft.
