Richardson Urges Residents to Take Part in Second Operation Hydration

After the success of last year's Operation Hydration, USO Fort Hood has asked the City of Richardson for help once again in providing water to the troops and their families stationed at Fort Hood. The city's goal is to collect at least 2,500 cases of water for the military base in Killeen, Texas.

The collection date is set for Friday, July 27 at the City Hall South Parking Lot (411 W. Arapaho Road) from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The bottles of water collected will directly benefit the troops and family members stationed at Fort Hood. The base is home to 46,000 service members, 89,000 family members and has 22,000-30,000 National Guard and Reserve Troops each year.
