The MetroTex Association of REALTORS® today released Richardson homes sales figures for the month of May. MetroTex President Steve Habgood announced Richardson’s record volume of sales.

“The market in Richardson on is extremely active,” said Habgood. “While overall the number of available homes is low on any given day, homes that do appear on market tend to sell very quickly. There were 115 sold homes and 119 pending sales in Richardson last month.“

“We definitely recommend consumers develop a good relationship with their REALTOR® to help them navigate such an active market like Richardson is experiencing,” said Habgood.

Other highlights include of the MetroTex report include:

• The average sales price in Richardson is $237,513, an increase of 15% of last year.
• Average sales price is 101% of list price when listed with a REALTOR®
• The number of available homes on the market in May 2015 was 91, compared to 122 in May 2014.
• The average price per square foot in Richardson increased from $100 in May 2014 to $115 in May 2015. 

“We predict Richardson will continue to be part of one of the most active markets in the country,” said Habgood. “In Richardson, homes listed with REALTORS® are selling in 26 days on average.
