Football Preview: All Richardson Schools Still Seeking First Victory

All three Richardson high school teams are seeking their first win of the 2012 season after suffering a loss in the first week. Can any of them make a stand and claim their first victory?

Richardson High School

The Richardson High School offense exploded last week but it wasn't enough as the Eagles were taken down by high-powered Irving MacArthur, 55-26. The team will rely heavily on running backs Parker Smith and Kendrick Igbinoba to shoulder the load for the team. The opponent, Frisco Wakeland, will be playing their first game of the season.

Kick-off is at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7. The game will be played at FC Dallas Stadium.

Richardson Berkner High School

Richardson Berkner quarterback Yedidiah Louis is a big-time playmaker. At his best, Berkner is tough team to stop. But when limited, his team's chances of victory are also limited. Berkner will need Louis to be at his best when they play their next opponent in North Garland, which lost to Irving Nimitz, 44-14, last week.

Kick-off is at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 6. The game will be played at Garland's Williams Stadium.

Richardson Pearce High School

Richardson Pearce came close last week to taking down their opponent Lake Dallas in an eventual 31-20 loss. Untimely turnovers doomed the Mustangs, but if they can cut back on those while keeping up their offense, they'll put up a good fight against Sachse this week. Sachse won their first game of the season, 44-36, against Wylie last week.

Kick-off is at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 7. The game will be played at Eagle-Mustang Stadium.
