Staying cool is the number one rule when it comes to summer in Texas. This rule even applies to pets. The City of Richardson is hosting a special event just for pooches called "Splash Day for Dogs" and it's a good chance for pet owners to help their dogs find some cool relief from the summer heat.

"Splash Day for Dogs" will be held at Terrace Pool on Saturday, August 18 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All dogs are invited and no pre-registration is required. However, pool capacity will be monitored for safety, and all dogs must be up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations. Owners will be held responsible for the actions of their dogs.
