To help keep mosquito populations slow and the West Nile Virus at bay, the City of Richardson will be conducting more ground spraying this week. The city will spray on Tuesday, September 4 and on Wednesday, September 5. Both sprayings will be occurring within the same boundaries.

The area to be sprayed is bounded by Breckinridge Park to the west, Murphy Road to the east, Palace Dr./Aberdeen Drive to the north and Pepperridge Drive to the south. The spraying will beginning at 10:00 p.m. and will go on until 4:30 a.m.

The city recommends that all residents in the spray zone stay indoors while the spraying is on going. Be sure to keep all pets indoors and cover up fish ponds as well. Any person that comes in contact with the spray should immediately wash the affected area thoroughly with soap and water.
