The city officials that man the majority of the City of Richardson's administrative offices will be off on Monday, September 3 for Labor Day, which means most of the city offices will be closed.

Other than mandatory public safety and Public Service Department facilities, all city offices, facilities and recreation centers will be closed. This includes:

  • Richardson City Hall/Civic Complex Center
  • Richardson Public Library
  • Municipal Court
  • Animal Shelter
  • Heights Recreation Center
  • Huffhines Recreation Center
  • Senior Center

All city offices will reopen on Tuesday, September 4. Residents can call the Richardson Police Department (972-744-4800) for animal emergencies while the animal shelter is closed.

In addition, there will be no solid waste or recycling pick up on Labor Day. Residents that normally have their trash picked up on Monday will be pushed back to Tuesday; residents that are scheduled for Tuesday pick up will be pushed back to Wednesday. All other pick up schedules will remain unaffected.
