November 4, 2014 General Election

Voting In Richardson in Dallas County

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy.  One of the public policy positions of the national League of Women Voters is to “protect the right of all citizens to vote; encourage all citizens to vote.”

The City of Richardson spans two counties:  Dallas County and Collin County.  The Dallas County part of Richardson has 20 precincts and almost 44,000 registered voters.  The Collin County part of Richardson has 6 precincts and over 17,000 registered voters.

All registered voters in Richardson may vote in the General Election on November 4.  Whether you choose to vote during the early voting period or on Election Day, you will be given the correct ballot based on where you live.  In this election, you will be voting for both statewide and county races, as well as voting on a proposed amendment to the Texas Constitution.

transportation construction, maintenance,

and rehabilitation projects, not to include

To vote in the November 4 General Election, you must have been registered to vote by October 6. Early voting for the November 4 General Election was October 20-31, 2014.  However, if you are not registered to vote, do so now!  There’s always an election coming up!
