Parish Episcopal seniors Cara Santucci and Blaine Staton were officially announced by the 59th annual National Merit Scholarship Program as Semifinalists. Santucci and Staton carry on the School’s tradition of garnering national academic recognition. Parish is proud to recognize Santucci and Staton for their efforts as part of the Class of 2014, which will be Parish’s eighth graduating class in May.

Santucci and Staton (pictured below with Head of School Dave Monaco) represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors who are being considered for approximately $35 million in college scholarships.

About 90 percent of the Semifinalists are expected to attain Finalist standing, and more than half of the Finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar® title.
