Parish Episcopal art students heard a presentation about creating storyboards from noted author/illustrator Jarrett Krosoczka.

Jarrett Krosoczka, an award-winning author and illustrator, spent the day with Parish students as part of the Literary Festival and detailed the creative and artistic processes he’s used to become one of the country’s most successful authors.

Among the distinguished alumni of the Rhode Island School of Design which includes Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane and movie director Gus Van Sant, Krosoczka shared stories with Lower School students from his popular books including Platypus Police Squad, Baghead and Punk Farm.

The Library hosted the Parish Literary Festival session Tuesday afternoon with special guest authors Polly Holyoke, Kay Honeyman and Krosoczka, who spent the early afternoon with the Upper School AP Art Class of Beka Johnson going through his storyboard process to create a published work.

Krosoczka has received two Children's Choice Book Awards and been nominated for a Will Eisner Comic Industry Award.
