In her presentation, Ms. Gwinn will examine just how greatly this pandemic has affected our lives: social systems have changed, business structures have changed, family and social patterns are different. Ms. Gwinn will also discuss the impact of Covid-19 on our experiences as individuals, families, and our social connections – all of which are reflected in our job search activities. Moreover, she will explore strategies and options that are available to us in managing our reactions and presenting our best selves to the job market.

Ms. Gwinn, who recently retired as the Director of Pastoral Care at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Plano, TX, is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Oakland University. After a 25-year career in Industrial Sales & Marketing, Ms. Gwinn decided to pursue her passion for helping others through their life’s challenges. Ms. Gwinn’s experience to date includes work in a behavioral hospital on the adolescent unit, with a local school district, and with public mental health counseling adults and children. Because Ms. Gwinn believes that continuing education is crucial to providing good service, she has attended seminars on Diagnosing Behavioral Disorders in Children, Career Selection, Addiction in Families, Grief Counseling, Domestic Violence and Spiritual Counseling Facilitator.
