Forum for House District 112 Candidates
Republican Angie Chen Button Declines to Participate

The League of Women Voters of Richardson (LWV-R) sponsored a forum for candidates running for Texas House District (HD) 112 in the November 3, 2020, election.
The forum was recorded socially distanced on Zoom without an audience on September 16, 2020. The recorded HD112 forum will be available to the public on September 22nd, on our website, www.lwvrichardson.org/november-3-2020-election-forums.
All three candidates running in HD112 were invited by email to participate in the forum. Democratic candidate Brandy K. Chambers and Libertarian candidate Shane D. Newsom accepted our invitation to participate.
The Republican incumbent, Angie Chen Button, declined to participate.
The League expects candidates to participate in nonpartisan public forums so voters have an opportunity to hear the candidates’ views on many topics.
