The League of Women Voters of Richardson and cosponsors the League of Women Voters of Collin County, and the Richardson Independent School District Council of PTAs will hold a candidates forum for candidates vying for the office of State Board of Education District 12. The meeting will be held on October 14, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Richardson ISD Administration Building Auditorium, 400 S. Greenville Avenue in Richardson. 

The candidates in ballot order are Geraldine “Tincy” Miller, Republican incumbent, Lois Parrott, Democrat, and Mark Wester, Libertarian. The candidates will be given the opportunity to make comments as to why they should be voted in as SBOE District 12 representative. They will also answer questions from the audience. Questions can be submitted in advance by sending them to voterservice@lwvrichardson.org. Emailed questions will be given the same consideration as questions submitted at the event. The questions will be screened according to League of Women Voters of Texas Guidelines. 

The public is invited to this meeting that should provide guidance in deciding which candidate to send to Austin representing the people in SBOE District 12.
