First United Methodist Church Richardson invites you to celebrate with us this Sunday, April 1.

“Easter Sunday is a joyous day of celebration for Christians around the world. This is a day to proclaim the good news that Christ is risen! The Good Friday realities of suffering, death, and evil cannot ultimately defeat us. We have been given the eternal gift of Easter!

The good news of the resurrection of Christ was the central message of the early church, and it is our central message today. The evidence of Easter is in the lives of those who encountered the Risen Christ then, and in those who still encounter him here and now. Sunday we will celebrate and proclaim that this same resurrection power is available to all who believe today. When we encounter the Risen Christ our lives are transformed and renewed. We find a new boldness, a source of eternal hope, and a greater capacity to love and forgive”. – Dr. Clayton Oliphint, senior pastor.

We invite you to join us at First United Methodist Church Richardson for one of our services this Easter Sunday.

7:30 am service in the Chapel

8:30, 9:45, and 11:00 am traditional services in the Sanctuary.
All 3 will feature beautiful music by our Choirs.

9:45 and 11:00 am modern worship services in the Worship & Arts Center.

2017 FOCUS Photography Art Show

Citizens of Hope: Photography of Life in Richardson, FUMCR and Beyond

Coleman Family Hall
February 28 - March 5, 2017
Display is open during the week from 10am - 5pm.

First United Methodist Church Richardson has some of the most talented photographers in Richardson and always produce amazing photos of life within the church.

In addition to highlighting the ministries of FUMCR throughout the year, the 2016 FOCUS Photography Ministry wanted to meet people and explore places in our city.  Throughout our year-long journey, we captured images in Richardson that range from the familiar to the hidden.  We saw places in new perspectives, and we met real-life heroes.  Combined with our work in capturing the God-moments within the ministries of our church, one thing became clear about our Richardson community:  We are all Citizens of Hope, looking to shine brightly in one another’s lives.

We look forward to sharing our work with you!
