Gather your family and friends as the Richardson Symphony and UT Dallas showcase the “Richardson Symphony Sunset Serenade: Pops & Movie Magic” concert! An unforgettable outdoor concert at the SCI Courtyard on the vibrant campus of the University of Texas at Dallas in Richardson. Grab your lawn chair or cozy blanket and prepare for a musical journey for all ages.

This free, family-friendly event is your chance to hear the exceptional musicianship from the Richardson Symphony Orchestra against the backdrop of a breathtaking sunset. It’s more than just a concert—it’s a community celebration and a chance for neighbors to share their love of live orchestral music. Don’t miss out on this wonderful evening of joy, nostalgia, and a true celebration of our Richardson community spirit!

The performance is approximately 90 minutes and will be performed without an intermission.

  • Complimentary parking will be available in Parking Structure 3 (corner of North Loop Rd & Pedestrian Promenade) 
  • Limited bench seating is available in the SCI courtyard, so please plan to bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the concert.
  • Food will be available for purchase from food trucks
  • You are welcome to bring your own snacks, beverages, and food. Alcohol is not permitted on the university campus.
  • No ticket is required to attend. The event is free and open to the public.
  • Pets are not allowed
