Richardson ISD's Adult Education and Literacy program offers free ESL and GED classes, as well as, Career Training, to adult residents of Dallas County in Richardson ISD territories and the surrounding areas. Classes are offered at in virtual and face-to-face formats. Minimum requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older; Must be a resident of Dallas County.

Types of Classes offered:
ESL - Leveled: Beginner through Intermediate/Advanced

ESL for Professionals - For foreign-credentialed, non-native English speaking professionals who desire to improve their English proficiency to continue their profession career in the U.S.

GED/HSE Prep and GED/HSE en Espanol - Assists adult learners with preparing to attain their High School Equivalency or General Education Diploma. The course covers all four subjects of the GED test. Also offered in a blended learning format which combines online learning with traditional classroom methods.

Integrated Education and Training (IET) - accredited certificate programs which combine specialized job training with Basic Adult Education support. Upon completion students are awarded a stackable credentials which can be used to obtain or advance employment or pursue post-secondary education.
