The Richardson Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the new members of Leadership Richardson, class XXXII, for the 2016-2017 program year. Beginning in September, the class will meet once a month to learn about the inner workings of Richardson as well as develop their personal leadership skills. Upon graduation in May, Richardson have a new cadre of community leaders.
"I made many long-lasting, multi-cultural friendships through LR that I value greatly,” said Eron Linn, a member of the RISD school board. “LR provided me with an opportunity to experience different points of view that I may not have had otherwise."
Leadership Richardson is a unique opportunity for participants to enhance their personal and organizational leadership as they relate to community trusteeship. The program explores all aspects of the community, including arts and cultural diversity, business and economic development, local government, health care, public education, public safety and social services.
Participants meet for a full day on a Friday once per month. Class sessions are a mixture of information, problem solving, leadership development and interactive studies.
Applicants to Leadership Richardson must live or work in Richardson or the Richardson ISD attendance area. Participants are selected by an anonymous admissions committee, and submitting an application does not guarantee selection.
